My favorite part of last week was seeing how many people had connected in-person after two of my most recent Scrollodex IRL experiences.
I noticed that Melisa Denizeri Orley, Abena Anim-Somuah, and Chase Vicenzi all received coolers from Aplós after attending my Central Park Conservatory Garden tour in May. Meanwhile, Merie Subryan posted a photo from Ziggy’s Roman Cafe (owned by Helen Zhang), Ashley Moubayed was at Katherine Lewin’s female founder event at Big Night Shop, and Michaella Solar-March visited Ashley’s Don’t Let Disco DUMBO showroom. Merie, Helen, Ashley, Katherine, and Michaella all met at my tour of Jane’s Carousel in DUMBO earlier this month.

This is the power of Scrollodex :) Get into it!
In today’s letter: A Mamdani spotting, an AI-powered platform to organize your contacts, female founders gathered in Greenpoint, and my new favorite treat from Zabar’s.
I have a new email! Please update your Contacts :) To get in touch, email me at dolly@scrollodex.studio

A peek into my network and the conversations orbiting it (Rolodex), usually shaped by the internet in one way or another (Scroll).
Katherine Lewin of Big Night hosted a fab group of ladies for a night of bites, tarot card readings, and drinks at her Greenpoint store together with Erica Bonelli of Philo Studio. I got to catch up with Hilliary Bianca Salamanca, Emilia Petrarca, and Hunter Harris, and finally met internet friends Lily Sullivan and Shanika Hillocks IRL, and met Joyce Lee, Carly Krieger of Past Lives Studio, and Madeleine Cohen of Nelle Atelier. I was so happy to see Ashley Moubayed of Don’t Let Disco there too, who met Katherine at my last Scrollodex IRL outing at Jane’s Carousel in DUMBO. On the way home from Greenpoint, I spotted Zohran Mamdani out of my Lyft window who was crowded around excited fans taking photos with him.

I learned about a new treat at Zabar’s: their strudels. I was on the Upper West Side last week and stumbled into the legendary grocery store where I spotted the strudels in the back corner behind the prepared foods counter. The man behind the counter offered me a taste of the cheese/guava strudel which was delicious. There was only a small piece left of it (it must be their most popular flavor combo), so I walked away with a cheese/cherry strudel that I indulged in for dessert and then the next day for breakfast. I’ll be back, and I’ll take a photo for you guys.
Writer Karin Eldor and I caught up before she headed out of town for a summer vacation with her fam. Karin wrote an incredible profile about me and Challah Dolly for Forbes back in 2021. We’ve both been seeing each other’s names pop-up on Substack, so it was time for us to reconnect. Karin really keeps her finger on the pulse and has such a good eye for spotting (and reporting on) trends and behaviors.
After posting this selfie on Substack and Instagram Story, Helen Zhang invited the group to lunch at her DUMBO restaurant, Ziggy’s Roman Cafe. Liana Satenstein, Christina Holevas, Emilia Petrarca, Alisha Bansal sat in a corner booth where we ordered a round of Arnold Palmers for the table, the Rucola and Gemma salads, fava bean dip and suppli, Stracciatella and Soppressata pizza. It was a fun mid-week meet up, and we are now unofficially a Ladies Who Lunch traveling girl group. Where will we be next?

I met founder Caroline Dell of Goodword, an AI-powered relationship management tool, who walked me through the platform. I’m always looking for the best way to organize my lengthy list of contacts, so I was very curious to learn more. The app is like having a ChatGPT function in your Contacts app. You can ask the AI-agent things like, “who should I invite to a founders dinner?” or “show me all my fashion media contacts” and the contacts who meet the criteria will populate, along with notes you’ve left about them. If you’re a connector like me, this is probably a great tool for you, and they offered Scrollodex readers one month free on an annual plan with code DOLLYFRIEND. If you decide to try it out, I’m curious to hear how you like it, so let me know.
Katie Zion, Director of Operations and Hospitality at private chef company Culinistas and I caught up over video while she was taking the call in an air-conditioned London hotel lobby. She called Scrollodex “Dolly’s Page Six” which I thought was hilarious, yet accurate.
Some mail I got this week: slow-fashion clothing company Misha and Puff sent over some absolutely adorable and beautifully made clothing for my son: this denim zip jacket in Indigo, this groovy knit polo in brown, and these cotton shorts in blue. I can’t wait for him to rock these stylish threads:

You really are the Bev plug! Honored to be in your orbit ❤️❤️❤️
I’m so honored to be mentioned here and so glad we caught up! Grateful to be in your orbit 🪐 So excited to see all you’ve got planned!
